JHA has a proud history of helping whistleblowers expose injustice and wrong-doing.
Our number one priorty is protecting the whistleblower and making sure that they are able to disseminate the information safely without any unintended consequences.
For the past two decades Jonthan has personally taken charge of helping to expose a wide variety of malpractice from corrupt businesses and politicians to organisations misleading and defrauding the public.
Whistleblowers have been able to expose the wrong-doing while retaining their anonymity.
We are also here to help those whistleblowers who have already been identified and need protection from any retaliation from organisations or individuals.
Whenever a whistleblower approaches us the first thing we try to establish is what evidence already exists and where it has come from.
Whistleblowers have to be careful as to how they pass on information and what the consequences of leaking documents may be. We are here to offer guidance in these matters.
Generally we advice whistleblowers to stay anonymous as the consequences of exposing wrong-doing can be very detrimental.
Therefore it is important for us to understand how many other people may have had access to documents so revealing them does not inadvertently unmask the whistleblower.
Very often when whistleblowers come to us they are in need of legal advice or are already pat of an ongoing legal process.
We are happy to work closely with lawyers to ensure that both the media and legal strategies allign.
This combination of representation can help be a powerful tool in rebalancing the scale of justice in favour of the whistleblower while also making sure that they are protected throughout the process.
On occassion, JHA is aslo able to recommend law firms that may be able to assist.
